I was only hoping to get you guys talking about CrossFit and maybe share a story like, “I used to be a giant weenie, and now I’m a less giant weenie.” Or maybe tell about an aspect of your life that improved which isn’t obviously related to the gym, like, “Now that I do CrossFit my dog doesn’t shit in the living room anymore.” I certainly didn’t expect the barrage of compliments that came through.
So now it’s my turn. I am so very grateful for all of you, and I consider it the honor of honors that you ask me to be your guide to a stronger and healthier life. I promise to continue to do my very best to help you become your very best, to see you as what you are capable of becoming, to push you beyond your comfortable level of discomfort, and to help remove the word “can’t” from your vocabulary – even if I have to beat it out of you!
Your words of gratitude inspire me as a human being (and as your coach), and help me to further appreciate the depth and importance of what I do. I’ve felt so blessed since we opened the gym around 18 months ago because I never have to wonder if I’m on the right path in life, and because I get to do what I truly love and share it with my friends everyday.
In response to all your thanks, I say you’re very welcome. Words cannot possibly express how happy it makes me to be able to accompany you all on this perpetual journey of fitness. I know I speak for Danielle, Jackson, Sara, and Rick when I say thank YOU for making CrossFit Montgomery County such a great place to be.
And yes, today’s WOD is still going to kick your ass.
