DTR_1613 I thought I’d take a moment to share some of my goals with you today. The following is a list of a few of the things I’m working to achieve:

  • 3:00 Fran
  • 400 lb. Deadlift
  • 4:00 30 Muscle-ups
  • 250 lb. Snatch
  • 30 Rounds of Cindy
  • Free-standing HSPUs
  • 375 FGB

These are obviously some of my CrossFit goals, my physical achievement goals, and I am doing everything I can do accomplish them. I am eating strict Paleo, practicing the movements, increasing the loads, pushing myself harder, making and watching videos of myself to correct faults and inefficiencies, asking experts for help, following their advice, and staying open to the idea that I may not currently know everything that will help me reach those goals. I have these goals because though I’m in the best shape of my life, I know I not yet come close to reaching my potential as an athlete.

Today’s WOD:

Overhead Squat: 5-5-5

-then-

1000m Row (set a new PR)
3 max sets of handstand pushups* (rest 2:00 between sets)

*If you can’t do full handstand pushups, you will learn today.

    I like your goals man. Can I piggyback them and ride your knowledge train to sucess with you? (I can imagine that Dan or Dave will say that’s not the only train I want to ride…dorks)

    A 250# snatch seems so insane to me. How do you think these goals would stack up in diffuclty 1 to 7?

    I chose them by either cutting my current times roughly in half, adding about 100# or 100 “points” to each one. I think they’re all going to be very challenging, but what’s the fun in aiming low? I’ve got big dreams, and they don’t stop with better CrossFit scores. I don’t know how they rate in terms of difficulty, but I do know that I can reach all of them. And when I reach those, I’ll set new ones.
