If you haven’t gotten Ellery’s email about the upcoming blood drive, here it is again:
Last week I got in touch with the American Red Cross and suggested they set up a blood drive at CrossFit Montgomery County. They’re desperately seeking blood donors, and we’re all in a position to help. All you need to give up is an hour of your Saturday and a pint of blood. Fun fact, a single unit of blood can save up to three lives.
The only hang-up is that they won’t come out for any less than 40 donors. As such, as of Monday, a sign-up sheet will be posted at the box. The date is TBA, but I will pass it along as soon as I have it. Granted, our little CFMC family only has a little over 20 members, but EVERYBODY has at least one friend or family member who can begged, bribed or blackmailed into coming. Talk to them, and once you get them on board, add their name and contact info to the sign-up sheet. Once we reach 40 donors, I’ll get us a date set up.
One of the coolest things about CrossFit is our community. We push and grunt and sweat and hurt together. Let’s all bleed together as well. It’s for a good cause, Haiti needs our help, and there are no burpees involved. Let’s make it happen! Thanks!
I’ll be putting a sign-up sheet up on the website today or tomorrow, so tell all your friends and family about it and get them to sign up. This is a good cause, and CrossFitters are good people. Let’s all bleed for something besides the pullup bar.
The registration form is up and ready. Put it to good use! Blood Drive Registration Form
