One of the most important things I’ve learned from doing CrossFit is to eliminate the mental process that asks, “can I do another one?” We don’t train to do as many as we are comfortable doing, we train to do as many as we have to. When you’re reaching deep down inside for the strength to push out that 50th pushup, and you find yourself giving up and saying “i can’t do another one,” try changing that internal chatter to “I HAVE to do another one.” If you approach it from the perspective that every bad thing will happen to everything and everyone you know and love; if you convince yourself you’re trapped under a large boulder that will crush you and your entire family; if you literally act as if your very life depends on whether or not you can do just one more pushup, just one more burpee, just one more muscle-up…you will.
Great job. Now, just one more…
30 Muscle-ups for time
(If you can’t do a muscle-up, do 120 pullups and 120 dips instead. Break them up however you want.)
