DTR_8400.jpg How do you answer the question, “how are your eating habits?” Most of the time people answer that with “pretty good”, or “very healthy”, or occasionally “like crap”. The reality of the situation is that most of the time when someone says they “eat healthy” they really don’t, and when someone says they eat “like crap” they are actively working to get in their own way – not just in the gym but in life. Here’s the truth – if how you describe your eating habits resembles any of the above then the chances are enormous that you are eating like crap, and you’re doing it on purpose.

The problem is that most people use things they’ve heard from their parents or something they learned from the Food Pyramid atrocity in grade school to base their diet on. This is a HUGE mistake. You need to learn how to eat and what the foods you’re eating affect your body. You need to develop a plan, follow the plan, and then you need to tweak that plan as you go along.

When someone asks me how I eat I don’t have to look towards the ceiling and think about the answer – I eat 85%-90% Paleo. I know that what I’m putting in my body supports my endeavor for excellent health. You need to know it too. Your life depends on it.

Today’s WOD:

“Fight Gone Bad”

3 Rounds of 5 minutes, 1 minute at each of 5 stations, 1 minute rest between rounds. The goal is to perform as many valid reps at each station as possible. Reps are counted by a partner and then totaled at the end.

The stations are:

  1. Wallball Shots
  2. 75 lb Sumo Deadlift High Pull
  3. Box Jumps
  4. 75 lb Push Press
  5. Row (for calories)

    I eat 85-90% ice cream. The rest is cake. I do cheat sometimes and have pizza. Its a pretty high performance diet, certinaly not for the faint of heart.
